Access to Music and Dance Education is a Right, Not a Privilege
Partners at Third Street invites students participating in Third Street’s programs in public schools and public housing to continue their arts education with free group instruction at Third Street Music School on East 11th Street. Partners at Third Street served over 400 students this year and provided support services such as individual coaching, virtual community programs, and instrument loans to help each student be a success.

FALL
Begin the school year at a Third Street Partner School.
SPRING
Continue attending the Third Street Partners program at your school and apply for a FREE group class at the Partners Open House.
Year 1 at Third Street
FALL
Begin a full year of FREE group classes at Third Street. These classes include instrumental, choral, and dance instruction.
SPRING
Continue attending the FREE group classes at Third Street and sign up for an additional year of group classes at a significantly reduced rate.
Year 2 at Third Street
FALL
Begin a new year of group classes at Third Street (with reduced tuition).
SPRING
Continue attending the group classes at Third Street and sign up for individual instruction and/or group classes.
Year 3 at Third Street
FALL
Begin a new year of individual instruction and/or group classes at Third Street.
SPRING
Enrich your musical journey by continuing to sign up for advanced individual instruction, ensembles, music theory, and more!
Pricing
During Year 1, students attend free group classes for the full school year. Students returning for a second year of group classes will be asked to pay $300 in tuition. Additional tuition assistance is available.
Eligibility
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM IN 2022-23, STUDENTS MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
We offer a wide range of services to meet every type of need.
- Be between the ages of 6 and 18 as of December 1, 2022.
- Attend a school/community site that has partnered with Third Street Music School Settlement for music or dance instruction in 2021-22.
- Never enrolled in Third Street’s after-school/weekend program at any time during the past two years.
- Apply for free group classes at the Partners at 3rd Open House.
