Third Street for Everyone
Third Street Partners provides tailored, group music and dance instruction to over 3,000 students in more than 30 public schools throughout New York City.
What is the Partners program?
Since the 1960's, Third Street has worked with local public schools to provide music instruction to students in need of arts education. Today, Third Street collaborates with over 30 public, private and charter schools across the city with partnerships in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
What do students do in these Partner schools?
In its partner schools, students from preschool to high school learn to sing, dance or play musical instruments. Third Street works in collaboration with partner schools to tailor arts instruction to meet the needs of its community. Trained Third Street faculty members instruct weekly classes throughout the school year, teaching curricula based on the national, state and city standards for arts education.
The goal of these partnerships is simple: to change the lives of students for the better through music and dance.
